Emily Bowman, PhD

Biotechnology Engineer II

Emily received her undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and completed her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin in Hal Alper’s lab. Her research focused on designing high throughput microfluidic screening platforms for microbial strain and enzyme engineering purposes.

Emily grew up in southeast Alaska and has a love of anything that gets her outside including running, backpacking and hiking with her dogs. When inside, she enjoys a good sci fi novel and watching as many horror movies her partner can handle in one sitting.
